Privacy
Short version: the editor and templates run in your browser and are never uploaded, there are no accounts, and AI features (including the AI person cut-out) send only the photo or text you chose to submit, through Vercel AI Gateway, and it is not stored by us.
Photos and designs
The editor, templates, resizer, thumbnail tester and the background remover's flat/green-screen mode all run in your browser. Images you add there are processed locally and are not uploaded to our servers.
Saved on this device
To avoid losing work, your current design is saved in your browser's local storage (tc:doc), as are titles you save in the title generator (tc:titles). This data stays on your device and is never sent to us. Very large photos may not be saved if the browser's storage is full.
AI features
When you press an AI button, what you sent – the text you typed, the photo you chose for the background remover's person cut-out, or a reduced 768×432 copy of one thumbnail for the thumbnail tester's AI feedback – is sent through Vercel AI Gateway to the model provider (OpenAI for text and for the person cut-out, Recraft for generated backgrounds) to produce the result, then returned to your browser. We do not store these requests or the images/text they contain. A per-visitor rate limit keeps the service free; it uses your IP address in memory only, briefly.
Thumbnail downloader
To download a thumbnail, our server fetches the public image from YouTube's image servers on your behalf. We don't log which videos you look up.
Analytics
We use Ahrefs Web Analytics, a cookieless, privacy-friendly analytics tool, to count page views. It does not use cookies or track you across sites.

ThumbCraft has no accounts and holds no personal data about you. Questions can be sent via the domain's registered contact.
